Handicap

A “course handicap” indicates the number of handicap strokes a player receives from a specific set of tees at the course being played to adjust a players scoring ability to the level of zero (0) handicap golf. A course handicap is determined by applying the players handicap index to a course handicap table (See TABLE for WHITE TEES  or TABLE for YELLOW TEES).

Playing the Forward Tees

If a player chooses to play the forward tees, he is required to mark such on his membership application and is committed to playing the forward tees for every tournament except Club Championship through out the season. The Silver Oak Senior membership board reserves the right to determine eligibility of player.

  2. All scores must be dated, signed and attested
  3. For holes that are unfinished, post your “most likely score” which is the actual number of strokes taken plus the number of strokes in the players best judgement which would be needed to finish the hole from that position more than half the time. The score for those holes should be preceded by an X on the score card.
  4. Incomplete or unreadable cards will be disqualified.
  5. Score cards are exchanged prior to play for the Club Championship.

Tournament Results and Payouts

Tournament game winnings are paid out to the lowest net scores for approximately a third of the field in each flight except Club Championship plus $5 for closest to the pin on 3 pars. Payouts (except skins) are in scrips redeemable for green fees, merchandise, lessons, food and beverages at the Silver Oak Pro Shop.

Players that submit scores for unfinished rounds or with an X on any hole will be disqualified from the game without refund of the entry fee except for some team events such as 2-man best ball, 4-man 2 best ball and some other team events.

The tournament committee will post the preliminary tournament results for review on the web portal shortly after conclusion of play each Tuesday.
